Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
